Vinschgau High Alpine Trail

The Vinschgau high mountain route, from the source of the Etsch on the Reschenpass as far as Staben in Lower Vinschgau, is split into different stages leading to a fascinating/challenging walking experience. The 108 km route combines existing and  new footpaths, old irrigation channels (watercourses) and connecting routes between farmhouses. The Vinschgau high alpine way leads through a natural habitat showing vegetation that couldn’t be more divers. The paths on the Sonnenberg with rich flora from steppe grasses and herbs provide an incredible panorama of the highest mountains in South Tyrol and across the valleys.
